Local enterprise, on purpose.
Most of my work is climate risk and methodology for consultancies and impact organisations. This page is the side room: a small amount of fixed-scope work with owner-operated businesses, one or two engagements at a time, no more.
The work is the same discipline applied at a different scale: mapping how the business actually runs, finding where the hours and margin go, and building the workflows and unit economics that let the owners make decisions on purpose rather than by momentum. Workflow mapping, operational efficiency, unit economics, commercial strategy: a defined scope, a defined end, and tools you keep.
It's for businesses that are excellent at the thing itself (the product, the service, the craft) and stretched thin on everything behind it. If that's you, and you're ready to grow on purpose, get in touch.
To see what this looks like in practice, read the case study on growth strategy for a Glasgow bakery.
